MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified contractors to express their interest in tendering for the provision of an on-board rail inspection system (ORIS). The system shall be a proven product and shall provide real-time track image recording and condition monitoring including detection, dimensional measurement, classification and location reporting of rail cracks and defects automatically. Two sets of on-board equipment shall be provided for installation on two new trains to be operated on the Kwun Tong Line, Tsuen Wan Line, Island Line and Tseung Kwan O Line. The ORIS equipment shall be designed to be mounted on the underframe of the new trains.
The prequalification process for the tender will take place in April 2016 and tenders will be invited in August 2016.
In order to be considered for prequalification, interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to express their interest on or before 25 April 2016 via the MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System.
Following expression of interest, the applicants will shortly after the deadline receive an invitation of prequalification via the E-Tendering System. The applicants shall complete and submit all information and details as required in the invitation via the E-Tendering System no later than 2:00pm (Hong Kong Time) on 25 May 2016.
