Replacement of Light Rail Platform CSC Processor and AFC Power and Data Network

MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified contractors to express their interest in tendering for the replacement of the Platform Contactless Smart Card (CSC) Processor and Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) Power and Data Network for the Light Rail (LRL).
The Works includes design, prototyping, manufacture, supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of approximately 1,580 Platform CSC Processors, system integration, testing and commissioning of the overall AFC system including the Corporation’s existing AFC backend system, decommissioning, dismantling, removal and/or disposal of existing equipment. The existing power cables and data network cables for the AFC equipment for 157 platforms at 69 LRL stops shall be replaced.
The prequalification process for the tender will take place in December 2015 and tenders will be invited in March 2016.
In order to be considered for prequalification, interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to express their interest via the MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System.

Shortly after expression of interest, the applicants will receive an invitation of prequalification via the E-Tendering System. The applicants shall complete and submit all information and details as required in the invitation via the E-Tendering System no later than 2:00pm (Hong Kong Time) on 18 January 2016.
All invitations and submissions for prequalification and tender will be carried out through the E-Tendering System at http://www.hkextender.com.
Applicants responding to this advertisement are deemed to have complied with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance in the collection and transfer of personal data to MTR Corporation Limited. All information submitted including personal data, will be used by MTR Corporation Limited for the prequalification of tenderers for this Contract.
