MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified suppliers to express their interest in tendering for the supply of Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) panels for East Rail Line (EAL) Mid-Life Refurbished (MLR) trains.
The LCD panels will be used for maintenance of the existing in-train television system. The supplier will be required to supply around 900 21” or larger LCD panels with aspect ratio 16:9 or 16:10 and anti-glare protective cover of the display area. The new panels shall be fit for the existing enclosure and mounting configurations, interface with DVI/video signal and RS-485 communication protocol and operating at the nominal voltage of 12VDC and maximum current of 5A. The required brightness and contrast ratio shall be at least 300cd/m2 and 1000:1 respectively. The reliability shall not be less than 50,000 hours, i.e. the average of brightness of LCD panels shall be at least 150cd/m2 after 50,000 hours of operation. The panels shall be designed and certified to IP54 (front), IP53 (back), EN50155, EN50121-3-1 and EN50121-3-2.
The prequalification process for the tender will take place in January 2016 and tenders will be invited in March 2016.
In order to be considered for prequalification, interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to express their interest on or before 15 January 2016 via the MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System.
Upon expression of interest, the applicants will receive invitation of prequalification via the E-Tendering System. The applicants shall complete and submit all information and details as required in the invitation via the E-Tendering System no later than 2:00pm (Hong Kong Time) on 29 January 2016.
