Programme Details

Railway Technical Trainee (II) (3-year programme)
(Previously named Technician Apprentice Training Scheme)

Entrance Requirements	• Completion of VTC Diploma of Foundation Studies - Engineering and its Foundation Mathematics III module; • Completion of VTC Diploma of Vocational Education (DVE) (First year of study in full-time post S6 or third year of study in full-time post S3 programmes) in a relevant engineering discipline including Mechanical / Electronic and Computer / Electrical / Building Services / Civil Engineering and its Mathematics 3E module • Level 2 or above in five HKDSE subjects including Chinese Language, English Language and Mathematics; or • Equivalent qualifications
Training Duration	3 years
Programme Details	1. Induction courses (including railway safety rules and railway systems appreciation) - 4 weeks 2. Multi-skills technical training - 15 weeks 3. Rotational on-the-job training in engineering departments - 59 weeks 4. In-depth training in designated engineering departments - 78 weeks
Full Sponsorship on Professional Study	Designated VTC Higher Diploma courses (Part-Time)

Remarks: Railway Technical Trainee (II) will receive training under the Apprenticeship Ordinance.
