Stockholm – Gothenburg intercity service – MTRX

MTRX is operated by MTR Express AB, a 100% owned subsidiary of MTR Nordic AB, which is wholly owned by MTR Corporation.

MTRX was launched on 21 March 2015, providing premium-quality train service between Sweden’s two largest cities, the capital Stockholm on the east coast and the industrial city of Gothenburg in the west. Service on the 462 km route and seven stations is provided by six all-new train sets. The trains were designed and built to provide high-quality, reliable services in Nordic weather conditions. The rolling stock manufacturer, Stadler Rail AG, provides maintenance services for the trains.
