Retrofitting External Lifts at Railway Stations

Project Description

To enhance community connectivity, the Corporation is committed to provide external lifts connecting between station concourse and street level at those stations which currently do not have such facilities. The Corporation has completed the retrofitting of 10 external lifts in the past years. Out of the 98 MTR stations in the system, 97 of them are located either at street level or equipped with external lift connecting between station concourse and street level. The retrofitting of external lifts at the remaining 1 station is also under construction.

The latest anticipated completion dates of the external lifts installation work are as follow:

Station	Expected Completion Date
Fortress Hill	Highways Department Braemar Hill Pedestrian Link project is in progress, which includes a pedestrian subway and external lifts linking MTR Fortress Hill Station. Expected to complete in 2027.
