Network Extensions

Tuen Mun South Extension

The project comprises:

  • an approximately 2.4-km extension of the Tuen Ma Line from Tuen Mun Station to a new terminus at Tuen Mun South via A16 Station; the railway service will enhance connectivity south of the Tuen Mun Town Centre
  • The new extension is comprised of viaduct and the alignment largely runs along the Tuen Mun River

    Construction is expected to commence in 2023.

A16 Station
A16 Station will be an intermediate station between Tuen Mun Station and Tuen Mun South Station. It is proposed to be located at the existing Tuen Mun Swimming Pool. It will enhance connectivity for the area east of Tuen Mun River and facilitate the housing development in Area 16.

Tuen Mun South Station
Tuen Mun South Station will become the new terminus and is planned to be located near the Tuen Mun Ferry Pier. This area is one of the major residential areas in the district. The new extension will improve railway services south of Tuen Mun Town Centre and connectivity to Tuen Mun Ferry Pier.
