MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified consultants to express their interest in tendering for the provision of consultancy services for the replacement of approximately 49 chillers at 21 stations along the existing railway lines.
The scope of the services shall include feasibility studies and designs to combine small chiller plants within individual stations, convert air-cooled type to water-cooled type chillers, rationalize cooling capacities of chillers, optimize chiller plant control including application of AI/big data with adoption of appropriate industry best practices. The design works shall include equipment selection/sizing, layout and service route proposals, structural calculations, noise and air nuisance analysis, statutory submissions, works phasing, temporary works, delivery proposals, cost estimation and preparation of drawings, specifications and pricing document.
The prequalification process for the tender will take place in April 2020 and tenders will be invited in June 2020. The consultancy agreement is tentatively scheduled to be awarded in September 2020 with the completion of the design scheduled for June 2021.
In order to be considered for prequalification, interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to express their interest on or before 21 April 2020 via the MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System.
Upon expression of interest, the applicants will receive an invitation of prequalification via the E-Tendering System. The applicants shall complete and submit all information and details as required in the invitation via the E-Tendering System no later than 2:00pm (Hong Kong Time) on 28 April 2020.
