MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified contractors to express their interest in tendering for the provision of an Integrated Speed and Position Supervision System for the trains running on Light Rail.
The Integrated Speed and Position Supervision System comprise the provision of the trainborne equipment for 140 trainsets and trackside equipment for the entire Light Rail network and backend equipment in Tuen Mun Depot for providing the speed and position supervision of the trains and the central monitoring and system administration at the backend. Global Positioning System (GPS) and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technologies will be adopted for the Integrated Speed and Position Supervision System.
The scope of the Works includes the design, manufacture, supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning, documentation, rectification of defects, training, setting to work, maintenance services and product support during the Defects Liability Period of the Integrated Speed and Position Supervision System.
The prequalification process for the tender will take place in August 2015 and tenders will be invited in October 2015.
In order to be considered for prequalification, interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to express their interest on or before 31 August 2015 via the MTR Corporation Limited's E-Tendering System.
Upon expression of interest, the applicants will receive invitation of prequalification via the E-tendering System. The applicants shall complete and submit all information and details as required in the invitation via the E-tendering System no later than 2:00p.m. (Hong Kong Time) on 11 September 2015.
