MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified companies to express interest to tender for the Alteration and Addition Works and Renovation Works at G/F and 1/F of Maritime Square.  The scope of works includes:-

 

  • Carry out alteration and addition (A&A) works involving structural alteration, aboveground and underground drainage work, excavation works to the existing shopping arcade at G/F & 1/F.

  • Carry out renovation and fitting out works to the A&A area for new retail shops, food and beverage shops and associated toilet facilities.

  • Carry out E&M alteration and modification works according to new layout.

  • Carry out associated works for installation of new escalators (Escalators to be supplied and installed by separate contract).

  • Conduct the duties of Registered General Building Contractor under statutory requirements.

　

Tentative Tender Invitation Date    : 3rd Quarter of 2016

Tentative Contract Award Date      : 1st Quarter of 2017

 

Interested companies should register in writing to Procurement & Contracts Department at 20/F., MTR Headquarters Building, Telford Plaza, 33 Wai Yip Street, Kowloon Bay, Kowloon, Hong Kong on/before noon 8 August 2016 together with the following information for prequalification:-

1.     Company profile and year of establishment with supporting documents including copy of valid Certificate of Registered General Building Contractor issued by Building Department.

2.     CV and Certificate of Authorized Person and Registered Structural Engineer capable of handling relevant submission / site supervision.

3.     Relevant job reference on alteration and addition works and renovation works involving structural alteration for commercial buildings, shopping malls and hotels in the past 5 years (based on commencement date) with contract value:-

 

  • > HK$100M

  • > HK$80M and ≤ HK$100M

  • > HK$50M and ≤ HK$80M

 

Please give details of client, site location, description of contract works, contract value, project commencement date, completion date and clients’ appreciation letter.

Only qualified contractors will be invited to tender.

 

You should not apply for prequalification as a tenderer for this Contract independently if you intend to act as a supplier, sub-contractor or sub-consultant for another company who will apply for the prequalification, or if you are a partner of a joint venture established to seek prequalification for this Contract.

 

Companies having linkage to each other, e.g. subsidiaries, holding or sister companies, shall not apply for prequalification as a tenderer for the same Contract, whether on their own or as a partner of a joint venture. “Sister companies” shall mean all companies which are subsidiaries of or otherwise belonging to the same holding company.  The existence of a holding-subsidiary relationship shall be determined in accordance with the provisions in Sections 13 to 15 of the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 622) of Hong Kong.  Companies having linkage to each other shall determine which company will apply for the prequalification.
