Enhanced Security Access Control at West Kowloon Station

Contract No.: 8238

1. Background Information

The Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link is a cross boundary transport infrastructure project, which provides a high speed rail service between Hong Kong and Guangzhou, and a connection to the national high-speed passenger rail network serving major Mainland cities outside of Guangdong province. The link is approximately 26 km long running from West Kowloon and connects Hong Kong with Mainland.

The XRL Project covers the Hong Kong West Kowloon Station (WEK) including West Kowloon Plant Building (WKP), Shek Kong Stabling Sidings (SSS), Emergency Rescue Siding (ERS) and 10 Ancillary Buildings along the 26km XRL alignment.

2. Scope of Works

The scope of works for this Contract includes the design, manufacture, supply, delivery to site, storage, installation, testing, commissioning, inspection by statutory authorities, setting to work and rectification of defects during the Defects Liability Period for the Contract for Enhancement Security Access Control at West Kowloon Station (WEK).

The Works shall include :-

1. modification of the existing and addition of Security Access Management System (SAMS) and CCTV system (CCTV) at WEK;

2. provision of SAMS equipment including Control Panel, Break Glass Units, Electro-magnetic Lock, Local Alarm and Door Monitoring;

3. provision of CCTV System (CCTV) including CCTV cameras, cablings, video management system and control panels;

4. provision of BS installation including cable containment and power points for the Works;

5. provision of civil and ABWF fit out including wall and cladding openings for the Works.

4. Expressions of Interest

In order to be considered for pre-qualification, interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experiences are requested to express their interest on or before 14:00 (HKT) on 1 August 2019 via the MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System. Late applications will not be considered.

5. Deadline to Return Answers / Information

Upon expression of interest, the Contractors will receive invitation of pre-qualification via the E-Tendering System within 12 days of 1 August 2019. The Contractors shall complete and submit all information and details as required in the invitation via the E-Tendering System no later than the time specified in the pre-qualification invitation letter.
