Hong Kong Arts Month 2017 comes to MTR Central Station with an exhibition entitled “Art@MTR 2017” that features interesting and diverse art pieces ranging from paintings to photography, sculptures and installations by 10 established and aspiring local artists from the Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre (JCCAC). Curated by the JCCAC with support from the Hong Kong Tourism Board, the exhibition is being staged near Entrance/Exit J at Central Station.
“We are delighted to be a part of Hong Kong Arts Month for the third year in a row by providing an art venue in the heart of the city. Through this exhibition, our passengers will have a great opportunity to appreciate a range of modern art creations. We can also promote the talents of our very own local artists and showcase Hong Kong’s art development to a wider audience,” said Ms Linda So, Corporate Affairs Director of MTR Corporation.
“Art@MTR 2017” is the latest art exhibition under the “Art in MTR”
programme. “Art in MTR” has been a popular platform for aspiring artists,
designers and talented individuals in the creative industries to showcase
their works to the community. The objective of this programme is to
enhance passenger’s travelling experience through easy access to different
art elements including live performances, short-term art exhibitions
and permanent displays of art pieces.
