MTR strives to create a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive and excel.
Recognising the talents and strengths of people from diverse backgrounds, MTR's "EmpowerZ" Youth Placement Pilot Programme is specifically designed for individuals from ethnically diverse (i.e. non-Chinese) and/or have a disability (including special education needs). Through providing 1-year full-time work opportunity, the programme aims to enhance their professional competence and catalyze their career development.
Participants in the programme will gain solid work experience in one of the departments in MTR and will be supported by a designated mentor, buddy and a dedicated team. They will also develop essential skills and build their confidence through a variety of workshops and activities.
The application deadline for this programme is 7th April 2025. We welcome candidates who meet the following criteria to apply via the MTR Careers website.
1) holders of degree / associate degree or equivalent, and
2) have no more than 2 years of work experience.
After completion of the programme, candidates with satisfactory on-the-job performance may be considered for an on-going employment opportunity.
Commissioned by MTR Corporation, the Department of Management and Marketing of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University is conducting a research project on Social Return on Investment (the "Research") to investigate the impact of the "EmpowerZ" Youth Placement Pilot Programme for Diverse Talents (the "Programme") on various stakeholders and provide valuable insights for community investment programmes.
Applicants for the Programme are cordially invited to take part in the Research. Please fill in this form to determine your eligibility. Eligible individuals will be invited to participate in the Research, for which The Hong Kong Polytechnic University will give HKD100 as a token of appreciation for each survey completed.
Your participation in the Research is optional and will not affect the selection process and outcome of the Programme.
However, successful applicants of the Programme will be expected to participate in the Research as part of their commitment to the Programme.
