The 17 traditional and digital mixed media art pieces on display are by Hong Kong illustrator and designer Ms Helen C Y Yau. Depicting the innocence and aspirations of children, Ms Yau aims to encourage her audience to revisit their own childhood dreams through her creations.
"Through my illustrations, I want to bring back alive the innocent, magical and playful childhood that we all had, filled with dreams, colours, love and joy," said Ms Yau. "I hope that through my exhibition, passengers can recall their own wonderful childhood memories and be reminded of the importance of giving children the freedom and chance to make their dreams come true."
"Ms Yau's vividly colourful illustrations are not only a joy to look at, but embedded in each of the dreamy images is also the deeper thought that we should never forget the child in us, and more importantly to nurture the children around us. We are very pleased to offer the MTR Roving Art platform to showcase Ms Yau's talent to a wider Hong Kong audience," said Ms Linda So, Corporate Affairs Director of MTR Corporation.
