The latest "Art in MTR" exhibition presents the "Rotary and Community Art" exhibition, showcasing a diverse collection of artworks including winning entries from a student photo contest organised by the Rotary Club of Hong Kong Island East, together with creative drawings and STEAM artworks by students from the Junioract Club of CCC Kei Wan Primary School (Aldrich Bay) starting from 19 July 2024 to 2 October 2024. Through the artistic showcase at two MTR stations, the exhibition aims to inspire the public to explore art and technology, elevating their quality of life.

At Sheung Wan Station, passengers will have the opportunity to view winning entries from the "Student Smartphone Photo Contest" organised by the Rotary Club of Hong Kong Island East. Through the perceptive lenses of young photographers, the works highlight the often-overlooked beauty and heartwarming moments that permeate our everyday lives. Commuters can immerse themselves in these moments and experience the healing power of art amidst the hustle and bustle of their journeys.

Sai Wan Ho Station will host an array of "Science Fiction Paintings" and STEAM artworks created by students from the Junioract Club of CCC Kei Wan Primary School (Aldrich Bay). The students skillfully blend scientific knowledge, creativity, and imagination to present social and environmental issues through paintings and STEAM projects. By embracing art, they aim to raise public awareness of environmental challenges.

"The Rotary Club of Hong Kong Island East has been rooted in Hong Kong for 70 years, consistently adhering to Rotary's mission of serving the community throughout these years. Through this exhibition, we aim to deepen the community's awareness on our efforts in promoting youth services and encourage youths to showcase their thoughts from life through artworks," said Ms Bonnie Yeung, President of the Rotary Club of Hong Kong Island East.

"Young people are the future leaders of our society. We are delighted to see the students addressing societal needs with creativity and innovative solutions. The Rotary Club provides valuable resources and opportunities for young people to showcase their artistic talents and creativity. The MTR Corporation is proud to offer them a platform to display their works at stations, enabling students to convey art and messages to the general public," said Ms Linda Choy, Corporate Affairs and Branding Director of MTR Corporation.
