Personal Information Collection Statement

Purposes for which we collect Data

The personal data provided by you will be used by MTR Corporation Limited ("MTRCL") or any of its related, affiliated or subsidiary companies for the purposes of processing your registration/reservation for a visit at the MTR Gallery and its exhibition sites (collectively the "Exhibition"), verification of your identity, providing you with news, notices and other communications, and other matters in relation to the Exhibition, and enabling us to carry out internal research on our users' interests, demographics and behaviour to improve the understanding and in turn, provide better information and services to our users (collectively the "Purposes"). Incomplete and inaccurate information may prevent the processing of the said registration/reservation, etc..

We intend to use your personal data, in particular Email Address, for sending you email notifications in relation to the Exhibition, including any call for action, input, contribution, updates and/or other information about the Exhibition and other matters in relation thereto (the "Email Notifications"). We would not use your personal data unless we have received your consent; and you have the right to decline to receive such Email Notifications by contacting us at any time. If you click the "I agree" box, you give your consent to us and agree that we can use your personal data for the Purposes, including but not limited to sending you Email Notifications.

Disclosure

The personal data collected will be used for the Purposes above. We will take all practicable steps to keep your personal data confidential but we may transfer/assign such data to the following parties:

1. if MTRCL decides to sell, merge, and/or re-organise any relevant part of its business, to any actual or proposed assignee, transferee or successor of or to MTRCL's rights in respect of your personal data;
2. any agent, adviser, auditor, contractor, third party service provider who provides administrative, telecommunications, computer and other services to MTRCL and/or relevant service(s) that you are applying to, and/or MTRCL's related affiliated or subsidiary companies for the Purposes set out in this Statement;
3. our third party service providers outside Hong Kong for the storage of such personal data; and
4. any person to whom MTRCL is under an obligation to make disclosure under the requirements of any law binding on MTRCL or for the purposes of any guidelines or codes of practice issued by regulatory or other authorities with which MTRCL is expected to comply.

Your right to Access and Correction of Personal Data

You have the right to request access to and the correction of the personal data relating to you in any of our records. You may also ask us to delete you or your personal data from any active mailing or distributive list. To exercise any of your rights, you may contact us at the address or email below marking your communication "Confidential" and specify the subject matter in your request. In response to your data requests (other than for removing you from our direct marketing lists), we may charge you a reasonable fee for doing so.
