We are committed to continuously upgrading our infrastructure to ensure safe railway service is provided at all times. In the coming years, we will invest over HK$65 billion in large-scale upgrades and maintenance to ensure our railway is kept in good condition. However, during these upgrades, train service may need to be adjusted for some of the more complex work.
On Sunday 28 July, we will carry out large-scale asset renewal work in the Kwun Tong Line tunnel. To enable this work, train service between Prince Edward and Ho Man Tin stations on the Kwun Tong Line will be suspended. You can travel to Mong Kok and Yau Ma Tei stations taking the Tsuen Wan Line from Prince Edward Station. You can also access Ho Man Tin Station by taking the Tuen Ma Line. Tsuen Wan Line and other lines will operate as usual. However, there may be more passengers in Prince Edward Station, please use other alternative routes.
Train Service Arrangements on 28 July:
Line | Journey | Service |
---|---|---|
Kwun Tong Line | Tiu Keng Leng <-> Prince Edward | Normal Service |
Prince Edward <-> Ho Man Tin | Service Suspended | |
Ho Man Tin <-> Whampoa | Normal Service | |

Please plan your journey ahead and use “Trip Planner” function on MTR Mobile to look for alternative routes.
We aim to provide a more reliable railway service once the project is completed. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
You can take various alternative routes to travel to affected areas:
