Lin Heung Lau


  • Reopened in 2024, the century-old Lin Heung Lau has preserved its old unique charm, including the iconic plaque at the entrance, traditional tea-serving method with covered teacups, and the classic dim sum trolleys.

    Getting there: a 5-minute walk from Sheung Wan Station Exit A2

Luk Yu Teahouse


  • Luk Yu Teahouse boasts plenty of old-world charm, especially with its historical design juxtaposed with traditional Chinese furnishings. It is also one of the best spots in town for an authentic dim sum meal, served with a wide variety of expertly brewed teas.

London Restaurant


  • The London Restaurant, which has stood tall in Mong Kok for over half a century, has remarkably preserved the traditional Hong Kong dim sum culture. This has made the restaurant beloved by both locals and tourists alike!

Central Restaurant 

  • Central Restaurant has been open for business for half a century. Enjoy a bowl of tea and dim sum mixed with the sound of people under the dusky yellow light, like a scene from old photographs.

    Getting there: a 7-minute walk from Sham Shui Po Station Exit B2 or a 5-minute walk from Shek Kip Mei Station Exit A

Hoi Lin Restaurant


  • The Hoi Lin Restaurant is a family-run teahouse in a public housing estate. The staff delivers freshly steamed bamboo baskets every day, so patrons can select their favourite dim sum. The handwritten menu uses traditional price tags in Suzhou numerals, which have become increasingly difficult to find these days.

    Getting there: an 8-minute walk from Tsuen Wan Station Exit A3
