WHAT'S NEW
The MTR has been growing alongside the community for 45 years since the metro service commencement. To celebrate this significant milestone, we will be organising a 45th Anniversary Carnival, the "Chill Fun Trainival" from 25 - 29 September with free entry. The carnival features five main zones, offering a variety of railway-themed amusement facilities, simulated driving experiences and game booths for visitors to win exclusive prizes. Let's come together to celebrate the 45-year connection between the MTR and Hong Kong, and enjoy a joyful time!
Furthermore, we have arranged a diverse range of performances for you and your family, along with appealing photo spots to record unforgettable moments. Whether it's a family gathering or hanging out with friends, everyone can create pleasant memories at the "Chill Fun Trainival".

Purchase railway-themed souvenirsAt the “Chill Fun Trainival”, the MTR e-Store sales booth offers a variety of MTR-themed souvenirs, including train models, stationery, toys, and lifestyle products. To heighten the festive atmosphere of MTR’s 45th anniversary celebration, a series of exciting promotions has been prepared. For example, you may purchase two MTR music boxes for HKD 100 (original price HKD 240) or a sports kit plus a charging set for HKD 200 (original price HKD 396). You may enjoy the simulated Driving Cab experience, inflatable slide and maze or stage performances for free; or purchase tokens to enjoy other facilities at the “Chill Fun Trainival”. From 10 September to 22 September, visitors may pre-purchase token cards (including 10 tokens per card) on the MTR e-Store at an early-bird discounted price of HKD 45. To redeem pre-purchased token cards on-site, please proceed to the Token Card Redemption and present your token card redemption QR code in the MTR Mobile application to our staff. You will receive your token card after validating the redemption code.
There are also several Token Booths at the carnival. You may purchase token cards on-site at the price of HKD 65.
Upon purchase of tokens, you will receive a token card. The token cards are in the form of scratch cards, where each sticker represents 1 token, and each card contains 10 tokens. Staff will scratch off the corresponding number of sticker layers based on the token requirement for each facility, indicating that the tokens have been collected.
You will need to use tokens at the below facilities:

What are the opening hours for the “Chill Fun Trainival”?
The “Chill Fun Trainival” consists of weekday and weekend sessions.
Opening hours during different sessions are as below:
Weekdays：25 September (Wednesday) to 27 September 2024 (Friday) – NO Registration is required
Opening hours: 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm (admission is open until 8:30 pm)
Weekend：28 September (Saturday) to 29 September 2024 (Sunday) – Registration on MTR Mobile is required (Fully booked, thank you for your support!)
Opening hours:
(1) 10:00 am to 3:00 pm (admission is open until 2:30 pm)
(2) 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm (admission is open until 8:30 pm)

Do I need a ticket to enter the “Chill Fun Trainival”?

Why is the carnival closed from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday?
To provide quality service for visitors, the “Chill Fun Trainival” is closed from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. We will take a short break and clean up during this hour to prepare ourselves for more fun-filled experience for you!
Please note that admission to the carnival is closed in the last 30 minutes of each session. You are recommended to arrive at the “Chill Fun Trainival” earlier to reserve more time to enjoy different facilities!
How do I get to the “Chill Fun Trainival”?
The carnival is located at the Central Harbourfront Event Space. You may take the MTR to Central Station and exit via Exit A (Central Piers), or Hong Kong Station and exit via Exit A2 (Central Piers) and walk to the “Chill Fun Trainival”. The carnival’s entrance is next to the Hong Kong Observation Wheel.
Why do I need tokens? Which facilities require tokens?
You may use tokens to enjoy different facilities at the carnival. The below facilities require tokens:

How do I purchase tokens?
From 10 September (Tuesday) to 22 September (Sunday), you may pre-purchase token cards (with 10 tokens) on MTR e-Store, with an early bird discount at HKD 45 per token card. You may also make purchases on-site at the Token Booth at a price of HKD 65 per token card.
How do I redeem token cards purchased online?
To redeem pre-purchased token cards on-site, please proceed to the Token Card Redemption and present your token card redemption QR code in the MTR Mobile application to our staff. You will receive your token card after validating the redemption code. Purchase your tokens online to enjoy a discounted price of HKD 45 per token card (with 10 tokens)!
How do I use my tokens?

Can my children enter the carnival?
You are welcome to bring your kids to the “Chill Fun Trainival” and enjoy fun times with your little ones! Please note that children under 12 years old have to be accompanied by a guardian of 18 years or above throughout the visit.
Is the carnival accessible by wheelchairs?
Yes, the carnival is easily accessible for people with special needs. However, not all facilities and attractions are suitable for all. Please feel free to seek help from our helpers if you need any assistance.
Can my pet enter the carnival?
Our apologies – Pets are not allowed in the carnival venue (except any guide dogs and other service animals).
What happens if there are severe weather conditions?
For your safety, if the Hong Kong Observatory issues a Typhoon Signal No.3 or above, or a Black Rainstorm Warning Signal before or during the event, the event will be cancelled on that day. You are also recommended to check for any announcements by the Hong Kong Observatory or on our social media before you depart for the carnival.
