MTR Corporation is enabling seniors to connect with their communities through a series of programmes that empower them to use transport networks safely and easily.
For over 20 years, we have been working with RTHK Radio 5 to promote railway safety messages to seniors through posters at MTR stations and radio programmes.
We know that different members of our communities face different safety risks and that our elderly station users are more vulnerable in crowded spaces. We conduct regular outreach activities in elderly centres to provide railway and safety messages through Elderly Talks.
MTR Corporation knows that our senior passengers might have unique needs that are best understood by other elderly train users. Through the Elderly Ambassadors programme, we train seniors to assist other seniors in our stations and improve their MTR experience.
