Bringing Mid-Autumn Festive Blessings to the Community

With the Mid-Autumn Festival approaching, various new project teams visited the communities where the projects are taking place, and actively participated in and supported Mid-Autumn Festival activities organised by different community partners to pass on blessings and share the festive joy.

Tuen Mun South Extension Project Hoarding Drawing Competition

The Tuen Mun South Extension Project collaborated with four schools in the Tuen Mun Ferry Pier area to organise the "Tuen Mun South Extension Project Hoarding Drawing Competition". Under the theme of "My Ideal Railway Community", the competition encouraged students to transform their anticipation towards the future railway and the community into vivid and fascinating drawings.

Tung Chung Line Extension Tunnel Boring Machine Naming Competition

Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) will be used for the Tung Chung West tunnel under Tung Chung Line Extension project. According to the tradition, the TBM must be named prior the commencement of the project to wish the project success. The “Tung Chung Line Extension TBM Naming Competition” is launched to call for names now. Winners will get the fabulous prizes and certificates!

Integrating with the Community - Celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival together

Being part of the community, the MTR Corporation always keep close connections and communications with our local stakeholders while expanding the railway network in the community. Tuen Mun South Extension Project Summer Workshops​
Diversified Learning Journeys Enrich students’ Understanding on Railway Planning

As the Tuen Mun South Extension (TME) project is moving into the construction stage, maintaining close communication with the local community is one of the important initiatives when the MTR Corporation embarks on the railway project. This summer, the project team rolled out brand new STEAM and Little Engineers workshops to enrich students’ understanding of the relationship between urban planning and railway development, allowing them to learn more about new railway projects in a lively and interesting manner.

Tung Chung Extension Community Guided Tour Programme – “Connect to the Beauty of Tung Chung”

A Tung Chung Community Guided Tour Programme is launched, which is co-organized by Tung Chung Safe and Healthy City and Outlying Islands Women’s Association Limited and fully supported by the Corporation. More than 20 tours have been organized, attracting over 500 participants, including local Tung Chung residents. These tours aim to narrate the captivating tales of Tung Chung—its rich history, advancements in transportation, and the distinctive features and growth of the community.
